Greenhouse Genie is easy to set up and configure.
After turning on the command unit, a user-friendly interface greets you
and guides you through the setup process. Greenhouse Genie searches for modules and connects.
After you've defined your zones and modules, simply place them next to your plants!

Command Unit

We have already successfully programmed and tested our mini-computer command unit for Greenhouse Genie. Greenhouse Genie does the following:

  • Creates its own WiFi network over which it communicates with sensors and controllers.
  • User Web Interface fully functional on touchscreen command unit and with a wired keyboard.
  • Modules of Sensors and Controllers communicate over Wifi and give accurate readings that are logged for user/Genie analysis.
  • Dozens of GrowPacks that have information about popular plants, including environment settings for optimal growth, are available.

Zones and Modules

Each Command Unit can handle up to 25 Modules. These modules can be any combination of sensor modules and controller modules. Controller modules are used with smart valves or regular plugs (with our special adapter cord) to turn on and off water, lighting, fans, mist machines, etc.

Sensor Module

Each zone can have exactly one Sensor Module. Maximum recommended zone size is 12 square feet with a configuration of 2x6 or 3x4 feet. You can make your zones smaller and assign more sensor modules to them.

Controller Modules

Each controller module can control two accessories (light, fan, water, heat, etc.). You can have several controller modules per zone. Controller Modules are not limited to the boundaries of a zone. For example, you might have a fan that circulates air for several zones.
